Pat's Prayers: Fear What is fear? To most people, it is the fear of doing or being wrong. There is nothing wrong with feeling fear at times in our lives. The person that says they don't feel fear is dishonest. Knowing all our emotions and dealing with them in a healthy way is what brings us closer to God. For emotions are also part of our soul. If someone tells you that you should not feel a certain way or that you are feeling a certain way, they are in violation of your soul! We may express our own emotions, but we cannot be telling other people what they are feeling or thinking. We cannot convince people that we know the way to the Lord through our words, but only through our prayer. God did not give us free will to give it up to another person. We have free will to explore the possibilities of how to get closer to God. Trust in the Lord God. No person can say that they are in perfect harmony with the Universe. For the Universe is not in harmony with itself! I cannot really tell you how to get closer to God, but I can awaken you to the possibilities of how to become one with the Spirit. We are all sovereign persons in the Lord. Full of our God-given emotions--and we own them. I tell you, awaken from your spiritual sleep! Pray in your own way for the Light to burst into your soul. And the light will be so great, the words of the unfaithful will not matter. I have heard over the past few months quotes from all different philosophers and other people how they are better than the next person because of the words they say or the food they eat. This is fine for you but it doesn't make you any better than the next person. Whether you use the term God doesn't matter to me. But it may matter to the person you are trying to reach. Maybe by not using the word God we can always later claim "oh no, we weren't referring to you". I guess that would fall under one of those in between sin or not sin. In other words, its a new language, a safe language. Being a co-creator cannot be a quiet experience. But it must have discernment of the heart in it. I don't care what you read or where you read it. I want to know the journey of your soul and how it brings you closer to the Spirit. Awaken to God and you will have love and a wanting to understand your fellow person in the Spirit of God. Love and respect all of your fellow persons. Listen to that part of the Spirit which brings you closer to God. I guess the question we must each ask ourselves is how.
