Pat's Prayers: 4/19/98

Dear Jesus,

I understand that you are all knowing. You propose the question but you also have the answers. I cannot presume that I have answered a question with my limited mortal intelligence because the questions you ask of us are multi-dimensional; the answers are like you, dear Jesus. They are eternal. This is hard for most people to understand because it makes them feel like such under-achievers. If only we could understand that you propose the questions not for us to give answers, but to learn to listen for the answers from you.

The connection is in the dimension of love. For you to hold our souls in your hands, and warm them with your breath. We connect with you best when we exist in your light. Each person can come to the Lord only through self-resolution and reconciliation deep within them. To know all that we have is yours and if we don't use it for your glory, we are fooling ourselves. Money and possessions are illusions of our humanness.

The pains of this dimension are the illusions of the next dimension. The benefits of this lifetime may be a hindrance in our next lifetime. "Remember when..." is the call of people who fear their future. Let's look to our future with you leading the way in the stillness of our souls.

The wind rushing through the valley, rustling the leaves and brushing against my cheek, hearing the water in the wash slip over the rocks is glorious. Climbing the mountain and watching the bird use the crest of the mountain for life... it is glorious. Visualizing the children out there; some needing help and some helping. Bout both learning something about themselves and about you, dear Jesus. How fortunate those of us who help will be. Not of what we do, but what you do for them. And some will not know your name and still feel your presence, and from that moment will seek you out.

You are like music to the faithful, you are the realm of sounds... we can hear them but cannot really touch them. We cannot make sounds without some way to do it. And we cannot hear you without asking for you to touch us. Touch me, dear Jesus that I may touch others through strong example and song. Hear my prayers for those around me to hear you within them. Let us sing a love song to you. A love song without words, but from the heart. Let me write not from me, but through me from you. I don't want to hear eloquence, but Spirit. I want to see art that comes deep from within. Burn deep into our being so we experience you in a new dimension.
